LEGO-Fied: Batman Returns

As soon as I saw the design for the Penguin Minifigure in the LEGO Batman Movie, I was reminded of Danny DeVito’s character in Batman Returns from 1992. I was 10 years old when it hit theatres, and it was one of my childhood favorites. I can’t even count the number of times that I have seen it. My favorite version of Catwoman is from this movie. Getting the Minifig was a top priority for me so that I could bring you today’s LEGO-fied post: a recreation of the Batman Returns movie poster.

Batman Returns poster recreated with LEGO.

The Batman Minifigure is the one from the Gotham City Cycle Chase set (click here to read my review). Catwoman is a modified version of the one from the Mighty Micros set. I took the head from the female vampire Minifigure from series 14, and I Photoshopped the fangs out of the picture. I thought the face was otherwise perfect because it is so pale, and has the exaggerated eye make-up. I used the mask from Mighty Micros because it is better suited to Michelle Pfeiffer’s Catwoman than the mask from the LEGO Batman Movie (which is otherwise awesome). Penguin is, of course, from the Arctic Roller set in the LEGO Batman Movie theme (click here to read my review). The penguins are from Minifigures Series 16.

Until next time,
